A cargo plane carrying presidential staff has crashed in eastern Congo and all eight passengers and crew are feared dead.

Debris of the plane has been found, but the people aboard are still missing, said adviser Vidiye Tshimanga, in a chat with Reuters on Friday.

Congo Civil Aviation Authority, in a statement, said the plane, carrying President Felix Tshisekedi’s driver, a logistics manager and some soldiers, was headed from Goma to the capital Kinshasa and went off radar on Thursday afternoon.

The Russian Embassy in Democratic Republic of Congo said on its Facebook page that preliminary information indicated that Russians were among the crew members on the Antonov jet.

Hundreds of Tshisekedi supporters hitting the streets of Kinshasa after the news broke, fearing that the plane crash had been some kind of failed coup attempt against Tshisekedi.

The president took over from long-standing former President Joseph Kabila this year.

• Seth Rollins defeated Roman Reigns by disqualification.The lights went out in the arena and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt appeared and attacked Seth Rollins. The Fiend pulled Rollins down into the ring through a smoking hole. The lights turned on and Rollins popped up out of the hole. The Fiend emerged more slowly and the lights went out again before the show went to a commercial break. When the show returned from the ad break, Michael Cole informed the audience that Rollins had won by DQ so Raw would get the first draft pick.

– Stephanie McMahon announced the first round of draft picks. Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch was the first draft pick overall, chosen by Monday Night Raw. Roman Reigns was Smackdown’s first pick. The O.C. (AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows) were drafted to Raw, Bray Wyatt was drafted to Smackdown, and Drew McIntyre was drafted to Raw to end the first round.

– A panel of Renee Young, Booker T, Beth Phoenix, and Samoa Joe discussed the draft.

– Joe Buck interviewed Troy Aikman. Aikman said if he had a pro wrestling finishing move, it would be a piledriver.

• Baron King Corbin defeated Chad Shorty Gable. Corbin pinned Gable after the End of Days.

– A Fox NFL Sunday panel including Tony Gonzalez, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, and Michael Strahan discussed which wrestlers would be their number one draft picks.

– Stephanie McMahon announced the second round of the WWE draft. Raw chose Randy Orton, Ricochet, and Bobby Lashley. Smackdown drafted Sasha Banks and Braun Strowman.

– The WWE draft panel analyzed the second round.

– A video package recapped the feud between Tyson Fury and Braun Strowman and hyped their match at the upcoming Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.

– Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman entered the ring. Heyman’s promo on Lesnar’s behalf was interrupted by Rey Mysterio and Cain Velasquez. Mysterio prompted WWE to show pictures from the 2010 UFC fight in which Velasquez defeated Lesnar. They pointed out that Velasquez gave Lesnar the scar on his face in that fight. Velasquez cut a promo on Lesnar in Spanish promising to give him a matching one on the other side and Mysterio translated.

– The presenters of Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff talked about football drafts.

– As part of WWE’s relationship with Susan G. Komen, The New Day presented two pink WWE title belts to a woman who survived breast cancer and her sister.

• The New Day defeated The O.C. Kofi Kingston pinned AJ Styles after hitting Trouble in Paradise.

– Stephanie McMahon announced the third round of the draft: Alexa Bliss, Kevin Owens, and Natalya to Raw, and Lacey Evans and Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Revival to Smackdown.

– After a commercial break, McMahon announced the draft’s fourth round. Viking Raiders, Nikki Cross, and The Street Profits went to Raw while Lucha house below. and Heavy Machinery were chosen for Smackdown.

– Samoa Joe, Booker T, Renee Young, and Beth Phoenix briefly discussed draft developments.

– Jay Glazer presented a WWE edition of Inside Scoop. He put over Samoa Joe and Sonya Deville.

– A video package played that outlined Tyson Fury’s boxing career and promoted his match with Strowman.

• Smackdown Women’s Championship match: Bayley (c) defeated Charlotte Flair. Bayley had a new, shorter haircut and deflated her signature inflatable tube men during her entrance and was more aggressive than usual during the match. She rolled up Flair (while pulling her hair) to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship for the second time.

– Bayley got on the mic to tell the audience, “Hey bitches, screw all of you.”

The prestigious Nobel Peace Prize for 2019 will be awarded to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali of Ethiopia, the Nobel Committee announced on Friday.

Mr. Ali has been selected for his efforts to achieve peace and international cooperation, and in particular, for his decisive initiative to resolve the border conflict with neighbouring Eritrea, a statement from the Committee said. The prize is also meant to recognise all the stakeholders working for peace and reconciliation in Ethiopia and in the East and Northeast African regions.

“When Prime Minister Abiy reached out his hand, President Afwerki grasped it, and helped to formalise the peace process between the two countries,” the statement said.

Ethiopia is a country of many different languages and peoples. Lately, old ethnic rivalries have flared up. According to international observers, up to three million Ethiopians may be internally displaced. That is in addition to the million or so refugees and asylum seekers from neighbouring countries. As Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed has sought to promote reconciliation, solidarity and social justice. However, many challenges remain unresolved.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee believes it is now that Abiy Ahmed’s efforts deserve recognition and need encouragement, the statement said.

The mother of the American rapper Lil Peep has filed a lawsuit against his management company over negligence related to his death from an overdose in 2017.

According to court documents obtained by the New York Times, Liza Womack has claimed that First Access Entertainment, the agency and label that oversaw her son’s career, plied and propped him up with illegal drugs.

The suit claims the company “fostered, promoted and encouraged” drug use in order to control the rising star while he was on tour.

“This is something that I must do as a mother,” Womack said to the New York Times. “What Gus had to live through is actually horrifying to me, and I’m sure he’s not the only person his age in this situation.”

Lil Peep, whose real name was Gustav Åhr, was signed to the label at the age of 19. He achieved mainstream success with the album Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 1. He died aged 21, in November 2017, after being found unresponsive on a tour bus in Arizona. The suit claims that he was pushed “to the extreme bounds of what somebody of his age and maturity level could handle emotionally, mentally, and physically”.
