Liam came to know about Miley’s decision after reading her statement online like millions of their fans, reports “Page Six”. The actor was reportedly in Australia at the time.

On August 10, Miley issued a statement announcing her split with Liam through a public statement issued through her office. It read: “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

Within hours of the statement, intimate pictures of Miley with her new girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter started mushrooming all over the net.

On his part, Liam came out to address the split three days later. “Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward,” he wrote on August 13.

– Mayor Kane showed R-Truth the stadium where the Tennessee Volunteers play football, and revealed that he had a referee with him. Truth tried to escape but ran into the goalpost, knocking himself out. Kane then pinned him to win the 24/7 Championship. Later in the episode, Truth hid on top of Kane’s limo and rolled him up to regain the championship. They then agreed to a truce.

Ric Ocasek, the lead singer of The Cars, has died. He was 75.

The musician was found dead in New York City on Sunday, according to Entertainment Weekly. Page Six reports that he was found unconscious and unresponsive in his Manhattan townhouse around 4:00 p.m. by his estranged wife, fashion model Paulina Porizkova.

The New York Police Department declared Ocasek dead at the scene, NBC 4 New York reports. A cause of death is not yet known.

Founded in 1976, The Cars became titans of rock’s New Wave genre, scoring 13 Top 40 hits including “My Best Friend’s Girl,” “Just What I Needed,” “Shake It Up” and “Drive.”

Lily Allen has said speaking out about being sexually assaulted has damaged her music career.

The British singer alleged she was assaulted in 2016 by a music industry executive in her 2018 autobiography “My Thoughts Exactly.”

Speaking on the BBC podcast “The Next Episode,” released Friday, she said: “I do feel like my career has been f**ked with as a result of talking about this stuff.”

“On paper, the album that I released last time round, ‘No Shame,’ was the best reviewed album that I’ve ever had, and all the shows that I did were sold out, pretty much, apart from the ones in America,” she said.

“But I did not get a particularly good run at festivals this season. I didn’t get particularly big gigs offered to me. I didn’t get a big marketing push behind my album campaign, even though it was probably the best record that I’ve ever written.”

Warner Music has not yet responded to CNN’s request for comment on Allen’s suggestion that she hasn’t been supported in her career since speaking out about the alleged assault, but in an earlier statement to CNN, a spokesperson said the company takes allegations of sexual misconduct extremely seriously.

As the first parent to be sentenced in the college admissions scandal in United States known as “Operation Varsity Blues,” actress Felicity Huffman was sentenced to 14 days in jail, and will have to pay a $30,000 fine, complete 250 hours of community service and undergo one year of supervised release.

Huffman has admitted paying $15,000 to William “Rick” Singer, the accused mastermind behind the scheme, to artificially boost her older daughter’s math SAT scores. He allegedly convinced Huffman that her daughter’s scores were too low for acceptance at top performing arts schools.

As a result, Huffman was charged with and pleaded guilty in May to one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.

Federal prosecutors originally wanted to sentence Huffman to four months in jail, plus the fine, but knocked it down to one month as of last week.

Legal experts agreed that Huffman’s sentencing will likely act as a bellwether in the severity of sentences for others charged in the scandal.
