The Weeknd Registers New Song Titled ‘Like Selena’

The Weeknd is seemingly getting ready to release a song about his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez!

The 29-year-old musician just registered the song title “Like Selena” with performance-rights organization ASCAP, according to ET.

This wouldn’t be the first time The Weeknd is singing about Selena. Many fans think “Call Out My Name” is about Selena and he reportedly scrapped an entire album about their relationship.

Selena and The Weeknd began dating in January of 2017 and split that October.

The news comes just a day after The Weeknd began teasing his upcoming fourth studio album.

Buhari: I Won’t Run For 3rd Term

President Muhammadu Buhari says he will not seek a third term in office at the end of his second term in 2023.

The Nigerian Constitution sets a two-term limit for the president and state governors, but that has not stopped speculations that Mr Buhari may want to stay beyond 2023.

Former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, was accused of pursuing a third term agenda in 2006 until the Senate threw out a constitutional amendment bill promoted by his associates.

Speaking on Friday a meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, Mr Buhari said he has no intention to prolong his stay in office.

“I said you should read the Constitution because I am not going to make a mistake. Besides the age, I am not going to contest for third term because I will go by the Constitution. The Constitution says two-terms. I’m going to be frank here because I won’t be needing anybody’s vote,” President Buhari said in his address to the meeting.

Mourinho appointed as new Tottenham Coach

Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Jose Mourinho as the club’s new head coach on a three-year contract until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Spurs sacked manager Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday following a miserable start to the campaign that has seen last season’s Champions League finalists slide down the Premier League table.

Tottenham sit 14th in England’s top flight after picking up just three wins from their opening 12 games and were eliminated from the League Cup in September by fourth-tier Colchester United.

Speaking on his appointment, Mourinho said: “I am excited to be joining a club with such a great heritage and such passionate supporters. The quality in both the squad and the academy excites me. Working with these players is what has attracted me.”

INEC Presents N1.9 Million Cheque To Family Of Deceased Corps Member

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented a cheque of N1.9 million to the family of Kemisola Adeniran, a corps member who died in Oyo State during the electoral process.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the cheque was presented to the deceased’s next of kin and sister, Folasade Adeyemi, at INEC office in Ibadan on Tuesday.

NAN recalls that the late Ms Adeniran, who was until her death serving in Ona-Ara Local Government Area of Oyo State, died in February in a road accident while returning home from INEC training.

Mutiu Agboke, the State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), said that the commission had acted in line with its life insurance policy for election officials, including adhoc personnel before and during elections.

“On behalf of the commission and entire INEC staff in Oyo State, I wish to express my profound deep regret for the loss of our illustrious daughter/corps member.
